using a pair shortcuts, like shop-sold angel food cake and a field of jello make this a slick dessert to throw together. The strawberry jello complements the berry flavor plus enables the whipped cream stabilize. The cake adds the structure and any other texture to the combination.
I placed this collectively in my makeshift kitchen in the basement, which is largely a card table with a hot plate. next to the circuit breaker and sump pump. stylish, eh? The hand washing is the pits. however I’m seeing progress so desire I’ll have a spankin’ new kitchen in more than one months.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 3 ounce package strawberry jello
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped to soft peaks
  • 1 small angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 pound strawberries, frozen (I used fresh strawberries and frozen)

  1. Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla. add whipped cream and beat until stiff peaks shape. Set aside.
  2. Dissolve jello in 1 1/4 cups boiling water, upload frozen strawberries and stir.  Fold in whipped cream aggregate.
  3. gently fold in cubed cake and scrape aggregate out into a nine x thirteen-inch pan. clean top with an off-set spatula. relax until set.
