Homemade Buttery Walnut Toffee Bark #valentine #snack
Buttery Walnut Toffee sweet. home made toffee is so smooth but so enjoyable. It looks and tastes just like the steeply-priced toffee bark in fancy chocolate shops.
Ingredients
- 5 tbsp heavy cream
- 5 tbsp butter
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 7 oz sugar free or very dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup Trim Healthy Mama Gentle Sweet or my sweetener
- pinch of salt
instructions
- Line a small baking pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
- soften butter over low medium until it starts to show golden. upload nuts and prepare dinner for about 5 mins until they may be slightly toasted. add 4 tbsp of the cream and the sweetener. cook dinner until thickened and golden. This takes about 10 mins. If it would not seem to be thickening you can flip up the warmth to medium or medium excessive but stir constantly. it could burn fast. take away at once from the heat and upload the salt and reserved cream. Stir until clean. Pour onto the foil lined tray and refrigerate till firm to touch (about half of an hour).
- melt the chocolate. I do this in a pitcher bowl inside the microwave stirring each thirty seconds. add sweetener if needed. Pour half of of the chocolate on top of the toffee. put within the freezer till the chocolate is strong. flip over the toffee bark and peel off the foil. put the foil lower back at the tray and placed the toffee on chocolate facet down. Pour the relaxation of the chocolate on pinnacle. Refrigerate or freeze till firm.
- The filling remains gentle like a caramel for the first few hours however hardens like a toffee in a single day.
Recipe Notes
I used three.five oz.Lindt 90% bars and delivered 1/3 cup sweetener- ensure to apply chocolate that you like - you may honestly taste it on this recipe - in case you use very darkish or unsweetened chocolate simply sweeten it to taste
